"As much as Roland is a master of his art he is equally as gifted in teaching.
It is as if he gave us the keys to unlock what we needed to find our own abilities to process our art...to find within ourselves what we all, as artists, need to improve and flourish." Meagan Boulter

It's allowing me to explore what my soul wants to express through art, and I'm tapping into this through dreams and metaphor. It's also reframed in my own mind what I always wanted to achieve through art but wasn't exactly sure how to approach." Jack Cheetham

"While Roland was happy to offer all the technical advice that I hoped for, what I took away from the short time we had together was far more valuable than simple technical skill. I learned to tap into a side of art making that didn't exist for me until now. I have a vast well of understanding, meaning and communication with my art and its viewers that, thanks to Roland, is beginning to emerge and is about to explode." Joshua Reiner

Roland Mikhail is an award winning painter and sculptor, teaches anatomy and drawing at Pratt Institute, and is artist in residence at the North American Sculpture Center.
